Strategically located, Tristão de Varginha provides access to quality coffee from the whole country, helping to make Tristão a reference in the whole coffee market.

 

With an intense movement of people, far-reaching coffee aroma, tasting of coffees to cater for all sorts of palates in Brazil and in the world. Defining Tristão Varginha, a Tristão Group branch, located in the state of Minas Gerais, is a task that takes us back to when it all started, in 1979.

 

In this year, the branch was just an office managed by Carlinhos Tristão in downtown Varginha, Minas Gerais. The town is equally distant from three major State capitals: São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Belo Horizonte, a promising marketing hub for coffee, which made the decision  to open a Tristão branch there even more unequivocal.

 

The land was bought, construction started at full speed, and with it the dream of becoming a reference in the coffee market through the easy access to special coffees from the Cerrado and South of Minas, from São Paulo and other states in the south of the country.  In 1991 the dream came true with the opening of the Warehouse, under the command of Orlando Schmidt.

 

The Purchasing Office, managed by Dalvino Schneider at the time, was kept apart from the Warehouse for six years, moving around four different locations in the state of Minas Gerais. In 1997, the sectors were unified and became the structure that remains until now.

 

Today, around 40 years after the first Tristão office was opened downtown Varginha, the branch is  a source of pride for the whole company and its area of 52 thou sqm is reference in environmental actions, occupational safety and most of all, in the effort each employee devotes to make Tristão a reference in coffee imports and exports.
