ABIC Purity Seal: The Coffee Purity Control Program is a certification issued by the Brazilian Coffee Industry Association – ABIC, whose Purity Seal is only granted to packages containing 100% coffee. This program was implemented in 1989 aiming at certifying the purity of roasted and ground coffee.

Quality Stamps
ISO 9001 Certification refers to the company’s continuous commitment to quality and customer’s satisfaction through the implementation of the Quality Management System, ensuring all products meet their requirements and needs, and comply with applicable regulations and norms.
FSSC 22000 Certification is based on the application of a methodology that uses preventive principles and concepts aiming at ensuring the supply of safe food, which pose no risk to consumers’ health. The system is recognized by the GFSI (Global Food Safety Initiative) – an international entity gathering large companies in search for an increase in food safety.
Kosher certification is known worldwide as it ensures the products follow the strict dietary standards of traditional Jewish law, including instructions regarding product cleanliness, purity and quality.
UTZ Certified (“good coffee” in ancient Maia language) is an international program of certification for reliable coffee production and supply. The certification assures the compliance with criteria regarding sustainability, social responsibility, good agricultural practices and traceability.
Halal certification is issued by the FAMBRAS and it is recognized worldwide. This certification is issued after analysis of the production process, ensuring the company meets all principles followed by the Muslim dietary standards, fulfilling all the required practices.
This seal is handed to companies that comply with the Solid Residues National Policy, reinforcing the commitment with the correct disposal of packaging and residues. The seal is granted by the New Hope Ecotech, a startup company that monitors indicators in the Brazilian recycling chain. In addition to generating value for the companies, the system strengthens the work of recycling cooperatives and waste pickers.
This seal has been developed by the Industry Federation to strengthen the State of Espirito Santo industry. Many products produced in the State are already nationally, and even internationally, recognized in face of their quality and safety standards, innovation or consumer satisfaction. The seal identifies products that are 100% ‘capixaba’ (name used to identify all that is local, from products to people) and foments competition within the local industry.
The Rainforest Alliance seal won by Tristão identifies coffee farmed in accordance with strict environmental and social standards. The production takes place in areas where the quality of life of the workers, producers and their families is respected and in harmony with the environment.
The 4C certification achieved by Tristão, regards green coffees produced and processed according to strict economic, social and environmental standards. The goal is to ensure a sustainable, reliable and fair coffee production chain, where integrity is the focal point.
Tristão is part of the Global Coffee Platform, which gathers coffee producers, roasters, retailers, traders, governments, donors and NGOs to multiply efforts, act collectively in local issues and unfold successful sustainability initiatives throughout the sector.
